How we started…

It all began with a young dreamer named Ricardo Chiriboga. From an early age, Ricardo carried within him a deep passion for agriculture and a vision that would one day transform the way fruit was grown in Ecuador. He believed that organic farming and traditional plantations could be fused into something greater—something capable of nourishing both people and the land.

With tireless effort, unshakable determination, and the support of his loyal team, Ricardo turned that vision into reality. Thanks to his pioneering spirit, we became the first producers of organic mango in all of Ecuador, a milestone that placed our country on the map for organic innovation.

Today, we know our brand as Don Fruto—a name that evokes the wisest man of the field, someone with profound experience, vision, and respect for the land. For us, that figure has always been Ricardo. His values and his dream are the roots of everything we do.

Staying true to his legacy, we continue to expand the fruits of his vision. From our beginnings with organic mango, we have grown to include organic bananas, while also offering conventional products such as pitahaya and ginger. This journey remains a family inheritance, carried forward by Ricardo’s loved ones together with the same loyal team that has walked by his side from the start.
